Well, here we are in Meridian, Mississippi. We originally planned to drive 8 hours to Memphis, stay 2 nights so that we could see the sights and get a break from driving, then do another 8 hours to Seaside tomorrow. But before we got to Memphis, we decided to see if we couldn't head on out of Memphis a little early, and cut down the drive to Florida.
Worked out perfectly. We managed to see everything we wanted to see in Memphis, and hit the road early, so we have a much shorter drive tomorrow!
We have now hit Arkansas, Tennessee, & Mississippi - all states that I've never been in! And we'll hit a total of 12 states by the end of our trip.
