Luna's Night of Camping... and other stuff.

One of Luna's new things is to go "camping" after we tuck her into bed.  After reading her books, prayers and good-night kisses, we leave and shut the door.  Usually, she asks if it's OK if she can go camping, though,...  Camping means setting up a little pile of blankets in the corner of her room, behind her chair...  generally she wakes up in the middle of the night and makes her way back to bed, or to us...

You would never know she was back there!

I got this skirt and shirt for her, and just had to take pictures...

Very carefully putting her shoes on the wrong feet...

And last but not least...  this is the quiche I lovingly prepared for a friend's going away party last week.  It's a long story, but let me tell you... this thing smelled so good, I was drooling over it... only to discover I had set it to "cool" on a stove top burner which was still burning - and caused the pyrex dish to completely shatter!  Thus my post on Facebook earlier this week regarding a good friend giving me her pie dishes!!!  Thanks Calie!

Ajax at adidas!

On Friday, Bas got to enjoy one of the really special perks of working at Adidas.   His favorite football team, Ajax from Amsterdam, was in town for a friendly match with FC Nuremberg.  Since they are sponsored by Adidas, they came into the headquarters on Friday and used the pitch there for their pre-game day training session.  Bas was one of a few employees selected to go out on the field while the players were practicing and was able to take shots at the goal with one of the Ajax goalies!  I got Luna dressed up in her jersey of course, too!

Whoa look at these moves!

The players and coaches coming out onto the field...

Posing for a picture with a statue of Adi Dassler in the stands.

The Training Coach was running them through drills.

Luna caught every photographer's attention...  we expect to see a picture in the local paper this week!

The Dutch championship plate from last season...

Luna started running drills, too.

The "team" gets to train a bit with one of the coaches...

Luna understands the importance of stretching...

The goalie...

Meeting the goalies...

Bas scored twice!

The head coach...

Some players signed autographs...

By the time we got home, there were already articles posted on the internet about the event...  one already has pictures of Bas!  To see them click here http://www.ajax.nl/Nieuws/Nieuwsarchief/Nieuws-artikel/Bijzondere-laatste-training-bij-adidas.htm
