Baby needs a new pair of shoes...

These are Luna's new shoes. I love them!

After shopping on Saturday we took Lulu out for alittle spin on her trike. She loves it - we take her all the way around the lake. And look out if she should happen to see it when there's no time for a ride... that's sure to set off the waterworks!

These are poffertjes. They are tiny little Dutch pancakes (pronounced "po'ffert-chuz.") You may have seen a pan that you can buy for them in the William Sonoma catalog. Bas's Mom brought us her extra poffertje pan when she was here last week, along with some poffertje mix. They're a bit time consuming, and nerve wracking to make (you need perfect timing for the flip, and a special twitch to the wrist.) We had them on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

We had another family over for dinner on Sunday night. I made cupcakes from scratch. They are awesome. The chocolate cake mix isn't as good as my Mom's recipe - but the icing was to DIE for. If you want the recipe let me know, I'll send it to you - but it involves, among other things, a jar of marshmellow Fluff (I know - sounds gross - but you can't taste it all in the end) and THREE sticks of butter! It is a new personal favorite.

The family we had over was Dutch - one of Bas's colleagues, his wife, and their two kids. We had a nice time, but I was in the kitchen all day. Since we had kids here, but also wanted some grown up food, we had...
1. bacon cheese burgers
2. steaks
3. baked scallops
4. green beans w/ bacon
5. potato croquettes
6. cupcakes
I love doing it though, so it was worth it! The biggest challenge was that the stores are all closed on Sunday. So I had to do all the shopping on Saturday. So before dinner on Saturday I sent Bas BACK to the store for ice cream and ketchup. And then halfway through Saturday night dinner I realized I'd completely forgotten about the hamburger buns! (who does that?) so as soon as dinner was over, he ran back to the store just before it closed! I swear - even if I am soooooo careful with making a list, there's ALWAYS something!

Big Blogaroozer News this morning!

We broke a 100! We had 107 visitors yesterday. We've been watching it hover around 80-90, so we knew it was going to happen soon... what a milestone! Now we just need to multiply that by 7 to 10!

Here's a picture of our dashboard in Google Analytics showing the visitor and page view (329!) stats...

A Few More B-Day pics...

Birthday Celebrations...

Dre and Joke arrived Monday to visit for a few days. Joke knit this sweater with Konijntje on it! Looks like Luna loves it! (I do, too!)

They also brought this lovely Playmobil house for Luna. She LOVES it! She keeps making Mama, Papa and Baby go night-night!

Thank You Oma and Opa!

When I got up this morning, this is what the table looked like! Boy was I surprised! Thanks Bas! (He got up early to do this!)

Joke and Dre gave me a nice little shower set, a Thee glass set, and this WONDERFUL Tea set! I look forward to serving with it! (I can use it tomorrow when the ladies come for the toddler's group!)

This is the new wreath I put out for Easter. We got it at the market on the Platz in Erlangen yesterday.
And this is a beautiful Hydrangea that Dre and Joke brought. It will look great with the Spring decorations I have out front! (Once it stops snowing.)

My gorgeous new Vera bag... LOVE it, Bas - thanks!

And then, after all the presents were unwrapped, Luna ran over to me with a box in her hands... lo and behold what was inside! A very special new charm bracelet for Mama! Thanks Luna! :) The charms will certainly be fun to collect! (Right Papa?)
