First we stopped at the Victoria & Albert Museum, which has one of the best fashion collections in the world. When I studied fashion history in college, I would say like half of the pictures in our book were of pieces from this museum!
Here I am trying on a hoop skirt with side bustles - something like Marie Antionette would have worn.
No wonder you had to have someone else dress you!
After leaving the V&A museum we strolled up Cromwell Rd and passed Harrod's.
This is an arch at the entrance of Green Park, just across from Hyde Park. There are several war memorials here.
As you stroll northeast along Green Park you start walking along the wall outside the gardens of Buckingham Palace. Check out these fortifications!
Here is the Palace... and yes, of course we had tea with the Queen. If you look closely you can see her waving at us out the window!
Our last stop on Day 2 was the Tower of London. It's a fusion of different buildings dating back as far as 900 years. Many famous Englishmen have lost their heads here. It's been a palace, a prison and a royal mint - and the Crown Jewels are still housed here.
