A Labor of Love...

My friend Angela is getting married in early April, and I told her that I would make a guestbook similar to the one I had at our wedding.  Turned out to be more difficult than I thought because it's so hard to find good scrapbooking papers here in Germany.  She sent me some, but there just wasn't enough, so I had another friend pick up more for me when she was on a trip back to the states.  It was still a challenge though, because I was constantly worried that I was going to run out of paper, or at least the egg plant color - and many of the papers I had were two sided, which means you can't write on the other side.

Most of the pages have folded paper "cards" which the guests will open to sign.  ALthough there also spots with lines entries for signing directly in the book.  I haven't finished putting all of those in yet, but the effect is good enough to share!  I'm quite happy with how it has turned out, and quite happy that I am finished!  (I certainly procrastinated a bit!)  Angela-  I hope you love it!

This page reserved for Angela's parents...

And for Zach's...

Couldn't figure out how to get this pic turned around... but here is a good example of the lined entries...

This one will have lined entries...

This one will have some lined entries, too.

As will this one...

This one will have four lined entries on each page...

This one will get a lined entry on each page.

This one will get two on each page.

Ta Da! Last page!  The stickers say "Together" and "Everlasting Love"

Can't wait to be there and see them get married!  I LOVE weddings!  I'm reading 1st Cor. 13 during the ceremony - I'm sure I'll blubber through the whole thing!

Another Beautiful Outfit...

Papa's socks, pajama pants, un-matching floral night gown, and Spanish flower!

Flower Boxes!

Looks like Spring has finally sprung here for good!  It's 70 degrees today!  Got our flower boxes planted, and decorated the tree out front for Easter...

Prim Roses, Pansies and little Daffodils...  love the burst of color it puts in the front yard.

And this is how it looked after Kindergarten...

Pig Tails and Baby Dolls...

Today for school I gave Luna pig tails, which is the first time in a long time that I've done so.  For a long time her hair was just too short, especially after her first hair cut, and I've always had a hard time with how fine her hair is.  So I tried again this morning, and I was pretty impressed with how patient she was while I put them in.  I think they show off her eyes, or at least her eyes look beautiful in these pictures!

She was so excited and so proud of them.

She kept saying how she looked like Lisa - one of the other girls at school.  Luna always talks about Lisa's hair, so I think she was pretty excited to have pig tails, just like Lisa!

When I dropped her off at school, she was so proud of them!

Last week I picked up a set of doll accessories for Luna, as a surprise present.  We normally don't buy her things all the time, so it was fun when she got home from school and had a surprise...

She immediately fell in love with it, and made me go get her babies and cradle.

Uh oh!  The baby needs water, go fill up the bottle!

And here she is applying powder...

And combing her hair!

Oh, and baby has to go potty!

The funny thing was then on Sunday, Bas picked up some ice cream from the local Eis shop, and told Luna that after dinner she would get a surprise...  So when Bas came out with the ice cream, and told her that was her surprise, she was like "But where's my present?"  Because we had just had the surprise toys, she assumed that surprise meant presents!
