On the Way to the Cinque Terre...

We picked up Bas after work on Wednesday night, and headed straight down to Innsbruck.  It was a quick drive, and shortened the distance we would have to cover the next day.  We got there just in time to see a bit of the town center and to have a late dinner!  It was a bonus, as I expected that we would get in later than we did and just crash at the hotel!

You can't really tell from the picture, but the dirndl on the right is made from pleather or nylon or something a bit crazy!

The next morning we got up early and headed out for Bologna - the perfect place to stop for lunch!  The town is also known as "Bologna la Grassa" or "Bologna the Fat One" for all of its culinary delights.  We got there a bit early, but that gave us some time to wander around the Quadrilatero, or the bit of the old town known as the food district.  It's a bit of a medieval labyrinth as well, so fun to walk around and explore.

Into the Quadrilatero...

We stopped at Tamburini, a rather lavish food emporium with mouth watering displays of hams, cheeses, pastas, meats, olive oils and vinegars, yum, yum, yum...

Here's another...

And some canoli's...

My "Tagliatelle Ragu Tradizionale" or Spagetthi Bolognese... the "Bolognese" meaning "from Bologna!  Always a favorite of mine, and this was certainly the best I've ever had!

Luna enjoyed it, too!
