Look who's 4!

She opened one of the presents from us first thing... her new Baby Born, who has subsequently been named Sally.

We tied her hair up to get lots of curls, while it dried...

Then Oma and Opa came over around 11, and we opened more presents...

Lots of accessories for Sally!

Then we decorated... INSIDE... for 12!  Unfortunately the forecast was right, and we were indoors!

Inside and STRAIGHT down to the basement!

Bas did a GREAT job keeping the kids busy as they arrived.

Oh boy... here we go.

The favor bags... ready to go!

We opted for opening presents before food... it kept them busy!

They loved all the fun toys at the table!

After a snack of popcorn, wafer cookies and mini-pizzas, in came the cookies!

Luna is SO proud that she is 4!

The cupcakes weren't very typical for German kids... but they were still a hit!

After eating we still had a half hour to kill, so we improvised with a game of "Ente, Ente, Gans" (Duck, Duck, Goose) which I somehow managed to explain to them in my broken German!  It was the perfect filler activity!  They were all sitting anyway!

Then the special guest appeared, and saved our life!  He was a magician, and a balloon artist, so each kid got a balloon.  He was expensive, but he spoke German, and was worth his weight in gold!

Here is where my camera died and I switched to my snapshot camera, but the card reader for that is at Bas's office, and I didn't want to wait to post the rest of the pics!  Fortunately by the time the magician was done, the sun was shining and all of the boys went OUTSIDE!!!  The girls all went up to Luna's room for a while and played with all her dolls, but eventually even they all ended up outside!
