Our friends Mark and Kiki finally made it here, 24 hours after they left on their 6 hour journey, and one wrecked car later - we hustled them straight out the door to the Nberg Christmas market to bring them some yuletide cheer!
My favorite stall...
Papa promised Luna a heart like two weeks ago, she didn't let him forget!!
Maybe next year... :)
Saturday morning almost everybody slept in, and we relaxed before heading off to catch a FCN game. Mark and Luna got shirts... (Adidas of course!)
Help! I can't get up!
One more time before we go...
The stadium is on the old Nazi Party Rally Grounds.
Originally there was a huge swastika atop this grandstand, which the Americans famously blew up after the war.
Bas and I took no chances with the super chilly weather, and joined Luna in wearing snow pants!
We met TJ and Elisa there... :)
This is the section for fans from the opposing team (Hannover.) They are barricaded behind fences, and are escorted in an out by the police - and have to wait till the stands clear before they can go - all for safety, due to the riots that have happened in the past. Must stink to have to wait to leave, when it's freezing, and your team lost!!!
And here is the home team section.
Final score... snow on the sidelines...
Time to feed Simba!
Funniest thing Luna said all weekend... "Mama, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to touch Simba where the poop comes out..."
Sitting down for a yummy dinner of ostrich steaks, getting ready to light the advent candles.
The heart got devoured for breakfast.
Breakfast table set before they go!
