Opa's 74th Birthday and a Visit to Efteling

We stayed at the Van der Valk - it was a really nice one!  Bas thought this was a funny shot... I was like "What are you doing!?!"

Luna decided that waiting was more fun when you roll down the hallway.

Entrance pavilion at Efteling.  Very dramatic.

And thatched ofcourse!

Entrance to the Sprookjesbos - which is like Fairy Tale Woods.

Guard sleeping outside Sleeping Beauty's castle.  He was really snoring.

Dana checking out Sleeping Beauty.

Luna decided not to go when we all went to the WC after just arriving... thus, a special trip deep into the woods was required!

Where dat sound coming from Mama?

There she is!  Red Riding Hood!  Luna's favorite!

Look at those teeth!  All the better to EAT you with!  (Can you believe we tell this story to our children?)

Rapunzel.

Cool robotic dragon blew smoke from his nostrils.

The 7 goats.  See the little one in the clock?  He's the only one that didn't get eaten by the big, bad wolf.  Better listen to your Mama, "Kids!"

Hansel and Gretel

Vrouw Holle

Pink doves!  How cool!

The gardens were amazing - it was like Keukenhof crossed with Six Flags.

Opa was in charge of the stroller.

Sprookjesboom - Very big, talking robotic tree.  Very cool.  All the branches moved, and his expressions were very realistic!

Goose Parade!

Carousel!

Papa doesn't look too sure about this... but Luna loves it!

Cotton Candy!

One of the roller coasters.

A ride with Oma and Dana

Another shot of that pavilion roof!

We have a picture of me at this age with a Mickey Mouse balloon in my hand that's pretty similar - after a long day at the park!

Dana and her Papa.

Dinnertime - everybody's pooped.  Better keep the kids entertained!

Happy Birthday Opa!

Thanks Oma and Opa - we had a great time!
