The day after Christmas Bas made an apple tart (much like our apple pies, but different type of pan.) Turned out really well!
Luna helped of course!
Luna and me acting like elephants with her socks...
New Years Eve table all set up for raclette...
Everybody at the table... yum yum - it was so good! We had beef, turkey, pork, shrimp, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, cheese; about 8 different sauces, carrot/raisin salad and cauliflower/olive salad. Great way to do New Years!
And here is Luna after the barrage of fireworks in our neighborhood woke her up. Poor thing. About every other house sets off serious fireworks here - some of them shooting 300 feet in the air; and it lasts about 45 minutes. When the neighbors started setting off fireworks Bas decided to go up and check on Luna, to find her curled up in bed with her eyes wide open. I think she was too scared to cry! So she stayed up for a little while after that, but she wanted no part in watching the "tire [fire] in the air!" We, on the other hand, loved our view across the lake with fireworks exploding everywhere you looked!
