Pool Weekend!

The weather is gorgeous this weekend, so with no plans and yard work done (enough) we headed to the pool!

I got this tent to use at the pool when Luna was a baby.  Looks like she still likes it, even though she has to share it!

So I got our Saturday errands done on Friday, just so that we could head to the pool early.  I was a little worried about the hoards of people I expected, and was feeling like we were going to get a terrible spot because we weren't getting there till 10:30!

But as with so many things in Germany, apparently there is a "way" to do the pool.  Somebody forgot to give us the memo which states that you don't go to the pool till 2 pm!  But, all the better for us!

We pretty much had the place to ourselves for 3 and a half hours!

The baby pool is nice - very separated from the rest of the pool area, and has lots of playground equipment.

Sommerfest!

Luna's Sommerfest was yesterday.  It was a Hexen Spiel!  

It draws a pretty big crowd for our little village!

They were special little fire witches.

They gave us 3 options for what color shirt to wear, apparently we were the ONLY ones not to choose red.  We think it was a conspiracy...  but figured it just made Luna look like a star!

After the spiel we enjoyed lunch while Luna played all the special games they had set up!

Today (Sunday) Bas signed up to run a 10k in Grosenseebach, which is the next little town over from ours.

He had his best time ever despite his recent injury, so collapsing was appropriate!

And we joined teh locals in teh Merzweckhalle for wurstchen and kuchen to wait for awards - and Bas got 2nd in his age category!

G.N.O.

Tess accompanied me on her first G.N.O. (Girl's Night Out) last Thursday.  A few ladies got together at a friend's house, and Tess was my cutest accessory!

I had to get a picture of her saucy pants!  Hot pink, polka dot mesh, with ruffles around the leg opening!  Thanks Aunt Sylvia!  And we love the Trumpette ballerina socks, too Aunt Cathy!
