Nürnberg Christkindlmarkt

I baked my first cranberry nut bread yesterday (ever.) Made some little packets to share with the colleagues of Bas that we were meeting at the Christkindlmarkt...

Here is the fountain on the square, all lit up, with stalls in front...

A beautiful stall, hope to get one of these... would look great in our front window!

A stall selling all kinds of candy...

Peppermint brittle... will have to try some of this!

Beautiful tin toys and snow globes...

These are the famous Nürnberg "Plum People" made from prunes.

This stall has everything...

After some Glühwein, and a look around the market, we went to American diner around the corner, and had some huge burgers, it was great! And Luna had a blast...

Bas and Flo (Florian)...

Julie and Guarav...

She must have learned this from school, because she just all of a sudden started doing it!

Almost as good as Thurman's in C-bus...

Christmas Ornaments - Some of my Favorites...

Decorating the Tree...

Christmas Decorations...

In the heat of our moving escapade when we left Ohio, we left a great many Christmas decorations in storage. Fortunatley, we did get most of our tree ornaments, but it left us with a dearth of other decorations, so yesterday I went out and picked up some things to spruce up the house. Fortunately, this is Germany, so it will be easy to pick up some other great decorations, as we attend the various Christkindlmarkts!

Here is the pyramid that I got for us, I absolutely love it, and it spun like you wouldn't believe! All for 33 Euros, pretty good!

And here is Luna's Advent calendar...

And other decorations...

Advent Wreath...

Well, the tree is up, and the lights work (we weren't sure how that was going to go with the 110 to 220 conversion, but they work - as a matter of fact they're a bit blinding!) And the advent tradition started last night. I bought the wreath as is, but added the candles and bows myself...
